YPG Nigeria elects New Officers at the 2019 Annual Business Meeting

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria- Young Pharmacists Group (PSN-YPG) held her Annual Business Meeting on 6th November, 2019 where the Executive Council for the 2019/2020 year were elected.
For the year 2019, the annual conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) during which the ABM is held took place in Kaduna state, Nigeria from 4th-9th November, 2019 and was tagged “Crocodile City 2019”.
It was a sunny day in Kaduna city but still you could see the great smiles on the faces of young pharmacists and everyone in attendance. Invited guests present included the past and present presidents of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) in persons of Pharm Ibrahim Yakassai and Pharm Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa respectively.
A presentation was made on “Tackling Nigeria’s Health Care Challenge” by Pharm. Calixthus Okoruwa which was enlightening and very educative. The interactive and business meeting held after the lecture where the outgoing executive interfaced with young pharmacists, giving out reports ranging from committees and financial reports for deliberations to be made.
After the ABM, then came the moment when young pharmacists in the country would decide who should lead the Group for the next one year. After manifestos were given and the verification process for the voters were complete, then the voting process begun.
The voting lasted for another two hours before the votes were counted, the winners announced and sworn in to office. Below is the list of the elected Executive Council. We wish them the very best as the steer the activities of YPG in Nigeria.
