Describe your experience in the SIG/Section:
My presence in the section as a full Exco member has been full of a lot of experience and sharing of knowledge. We have many working groups depending on the project to carry and we collaborate with many international powerful organizations such as WHO, ISO, AMA, Africa Union, etc… and also Big pharma.
Please discuss a bit about your career path and how you have come to be in your current position:
I am a Doctor in the Pharmacy option Industry, graduated from the University of Aix Marseille, and also a holder of an MBA (Specialized Master in Management of Health Industries from Kedges Business School).
Health Project Manager Diploma (Clinical Trial Evaluation Center Timone Hospital Aix- Marseille University).
Expert in international marketing and promoter of innovations, I am also a human resources specialist in the recruitment of health professionals (Doctors and pharmacists) often for the pharmaceutical distribution group Ubipharm (leader in French-speaking Africa and French overseas departments (Guadeloupe), Guyana, Martinique). My training as an Industrial Pharmacist was carried out within the Pierre Fabre Laboratory (Veyron Froment): Good Manufacturing Practice, manufacture of Syrup Polery, Arthrodont, Arginine Veyron, quality control and comparative market study in Europe of products from the dental hygiene. And my MBA (Specialized Master in Pharmaceutical Industry Management) at Sudler Hennessy (Young & Rubicam communication group) where I launched numerous innovations in the pharmaceutical industry such as hematopoietic growth factors, in collaboration with the cancer center.
In hospitals, I worked in the Marseille Timone Hospitals group at the Immunology Laboratory, in the autoimmune diseases unit (Evaluation of acetylcholine receptors and anti-cardio-lipid antibodies), laboratory of medical biology, and for several years in the pharmacy of the hospital of Timone, or Internal function where he was in charge of the follow-up of the treatments of the patient’s adaptation of the dosages in the children’s hospital, including therapeutic innovations in oncology, the development of new protocols and other pathologies, and participated in clinical trials. Very attached to the development of clinical trials, I participated in the work of setting up clinical trials in Africa, the African Clinical Trial Summit in Lagos, and Abuja, Nigeria. I also worked within IQVIA (IMS Health) a leader in pharmaceutical marketing and clinical trials. I was a consultant for the International SOS group in the validation of the pharmaceutical supply chain in Nigeria.
As a pharmacist of industrial culture, with hospital experience, and also practicing in pharmacies within the Boulingrin Pharmacy, I fight daily to improve the city-hospital link in order to improve the survival of his patients in oncology, diabetology, and other pathologies, by studying the impact of the latest therapeutic innovations, but also the improvement of nutrition in the care of patients, in a multidisciplinary collaboration base, in relation with other health professionals, doctors, nurses, coordinators care, and even natural caregivers, because the quality of life combined with innovations improve the vital prognosis in any pathology.
With the African Institute of Medicines (IAM), I advise many pharmaceutical industries and institutions for their establishment, development, and registration of regulatory affairs in Africa and in the overseas territories, advises, in particular,LANACOME (National Laboratory of Medicines Control of Cameroon), Ubipharm, the search for development solutions in products and human resources and during the Covid19 crisis i made it possible to find solutions to stockouts in France, Congo, Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo, Morocco, and collaborates with many countries for the emergence of a pharmaceutical industry accessible to all and taking into account ancestral research and products from many countries not yet recognized in the international scientific world.
In addition to the scientific field, I fight for the accessibility of all to therapeutic innovations, and I am a promoter both in prevention through cinema, such as recognition at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2005 by the prize of the hope and the ecumenical prize obtained by the film by the late Pierre Yameogo, Lève Toi et Marche, on the stigmatization of parents of children with meningitis in Africa, for which I was responsible for promoting. It explores through production, image therapy, through music through art in addition to the promotion of the advanced pharmaceutical industry.
I have had several international functions, and have been active within the FIP for many years, since its first FIP congress in 1992 in Lyon, IPSF congress in Cape-town in 1993, and among the founders of the YPG Young Pharmacist Group alongside first President Ilan Kreiser.

For many years: Lecturer in marketing (Galenics Laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Marseille for the Masters in cosmetic industry, and at Kedges for the Masters in Management of the Pharmaceutical Industry and at the Leschi Institute)
In the field of communication and Media, my expertise have been developed through numerous missions for Havas Advertising and other industries in sectors other than health (Cosmetics industry (L’Oréal, Thalgo Cosmetique, Probionat), Mass distribution (Carrefour), media (MCM, Canal +, Vivendi,), Finance (Deutschebank), Danslenoir, Fox, Guadeloupe, etc.
FIP ADVOCACY and DEVOUEMENT, During more of last 30 Years
1986 Joined UEP (Union des Etudiants en Pharmacie) (Student Union of the Faculty of Pharmacy), at Faculty of Pharmacy Marseille (France) electing member of the board during 6 years. I was representing Student of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Marseille in the sport council of the city of Marseille.
FIP Congress Lyon 1992 during IPharmex Industry Pharmacy fair, where i met IPS President Peter Maag, and i became liaison contact for Cameroon.
IPSF Congress Capetown 1993, IPSF Liaison Contact Cameroon with mentorship of President of Pharmaceutical Society of Cameroon, Nkuissi Martin, First Flag of Cameroon in IPSF/FIP event.
1994 FIP congress Lisbon, start to became active at IPS Industry Pharmacy section of FIP.
1994- 1998 with Ilan Kreiser and many other ex-leaders of IPSF, participate at the creation of Young Pharmacy Group (YPG) of FIP, from informal to official group of FIP.
2003 FIP Sydney, appointed Director of 50th Year celebration of IPS Industry Pharmacy Section.
2005 , in Charge of Celebration of 50th Year celebration of IPS Industry Pharmacy Section at FIP congress Cairo Egypt.
2005, 2006, 2007 , Co-organiser with President Tom Sam of Workshops of IPS (GMP, Parenteral, Solid, Quality Control) During FIP Conference and also out of FIP conference (Nordwijk (Netherland), London).
2007 Elected Exco Member of African Pharmaceutical Forum, Liaison officer. I help in the setup of the book about Good Pharmaceutical Practice in collaboration with Pfizer.

How do you see the importance of FIP for the Pharmaceutical Profession?
FIP plays a crucial and indispensable role, thanks to the numerous guidelines, workgroups, toolkits and etc. This guide the pharmacist in his profession and a better healthcare for patients.

IPS special project leader 2021 title: Do Pharmacists have a role in “adding value” in the Pharmaceutical Industry? This project is carried out with the help of many YPG members. There is also the IPS medal Award leader since 2020 and organisation of many section events.
