Diana Ching, PharmD

YPG Public Relations Officer 2019

Hello! My name is Diana Ching and I am from the United States. I am currently a MS student at the University of Toledo in Toledo, OH, USA as a component of a two-year post-graduate health outcomes fellowship. My practice site is at an independent pharmacy (Toledo Family Pharmacy) where I help develop and improve their clinical services in areas such as smoking cessation, diabetes education, and immunizations. As a fellow, I also conduct and lead research projects related to community pharmacy practice and services/interventions. Prior to entering this program, I graduated with a BS (2016) and PharmD (2017) from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, USA. While studying, I worked primarily in a community pharmacy setting at a large chain. My passion for global relationships began shortly after entering Northeastern. I studied International Health Care Management & Leadership at the CAPA Global Education Network in Florence, Italy. In my final year of experiential rotations, I participated in the IPSF Student Exchange Program in Yogyakarta, Indonesia at Gadjah Mada University in their community pharmacy. I became involved in FIP right after I graduated pharmacy school because I wanted to learn more about pharmacy practices around the world and how to collaborate with similar-minded individuals with a goal to continue advancing pharmacy practice and education. I served on the 2018 FIP YPG Subcommittee as the publication coordinator. I look forward to connecting with pharmacists across the globe and hope to see you in Abu Dhabi!
